Renate Baur-Richter is the Program Director at SEDRA Foundation, a hub for accessibility and inclusion of People of Determination that works across multiple sectors in the UAE. Welcoming ALL should not be a heavy burden but an interesting organizational and personal development. What does this mean? We see that People of Determination, "silver agers," visitors with low-language skills and first-time users expect the same experience and access as any other visitor.


I can confirm from my 8+years of consulting in the UAE that addressing the preference of often overlooked groups enhances the experience of all.


The call for inclusive and accessible services and products creates a sense of urgency for decision-makers. With extensive experience in high-level projects across multiple industries, Renate can quickly identify challenges and develop practical solutions. She focuses on international best practices and local standards to ensure a future-proof implementation.


Over the past 15 years, Renate has held several executive positions in the public and private sectors, focusing on building a culture of opportunity for People of Determination and vulnerable groups. Leveraging that mindset, she partners with organizations leading transformational change projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania and Europe.


Renate is responsible for the UAE chapter of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals Has vast experience in creating and assessing built and digital environments, including evaluating the full customer journey from apps and website to parking and check-out Devising and implementing concepts for inclusive employment Developing inclusive communication (including imagery and design) Creating fully accessible events and exhibitions concepts


Renate received her Masters in "Management of Social Enterprises" from Danube University in Krems, Austria.
